Welcome to the Schuyler County Jail Museum & Genealogy Center, where the history of Schuyler County comes to life. Located in the historic county jail building, our museum preserves the stories, artifacts, and records that shaped the people and communities of this region. Visitors can explore the original jail cells, learn about early law enforcement, and discover the rich local heritage that has been passed down through generations. Whether you are researching your family roots or simply interested in local history, the Schuyler County Jail Museum offers a unique glimpse into the past and the lives of those who helped build Schuyler County.

Beginning April 6th - 

The museum will be open Monday, Wednesday, and Saturdays from 12pm til 4pm!
